As many of you may know Cynthia and I were blessed to be able to raise the money and purchase a great used truck for our ministry needs.

Typically our month looks like a crazy week of pastors training followed by three weeks of driving for hours and hours up into the mountains to visit with groups of pastors and continue our studies together, leading right back into Pastors training!

This is what several hours of my day looks like..

Since late April when we were able to pick up the truck we have put 15,000 Kilometres onto it in this labour of love that we have for the rural churches.

Thats more than 2,300 miles per month!

MOUNTAIN MILES!!

Pastor Fermin’s church in the department of Ocotepeque its about 4 hours away from Gracias..

All these mountain miles certainly have taken their toll on our truck..

As last month as I was leaving the City of Cucuyagua we caught a particularly deep pothole and bent one of the front shock absorbers so bad that it almost broke off!

You can see the crack that was about 1/2 of the way through the lower part of the Shock.. (the bendy part is not supposed to be bendy, it should be straight up and down)

Progress in teaching these rural pastors to study God’s word has come at a cost..

But what is the real cost?

Money?              …Certainly

Attention?        …Some much more than others!

Resources?       …Without a doubt…

But what is the most valuable thing that we can give them?

Our time!  I am able to dedicate on average 3 days a week traveling and encouraging our pastors, preaching in their churches…  visiting their families, learning from them, seeing their struggles and urging them onward!

We have 2 months left formally in this year’s Bible Institute.

I see these men and women of God learning how to plunge deep  and understand what the Bible really says!

Personally I have seen and tasted some of the most precious hospitality in my life here with these pastors.

The goal in all of this is that God’s kingdom is built here on earth and in Honduras through the presentation of Jesus Christ to the people here…

Our pastors are doing just that!

They are studying the word of God correctly and deeply..

They are sharing what they learn with their people..

Thank you to all of you who are partnering with us in this labour of love to God’s people!!
