A pandemic practice in much of the developing world is the practice of slash an burn farming, where one chops down the grass, trees, etc. and simply burns it to prepare it for planting. Not only does this practice take away precious resources and organic matter from the soil it also leaves land barren and open to wind and water erosion.

Here at the Miqueas farm we are always trying to prevent the deterioration of our land and invest in it at the same time…
